Your Vet Nurse Help is one of the offerings we provide from our company, Your Friendly Help.  We are a very small business set up to help both home users and businesses with our skills - with a goal of total customer satisfaction at reasonable cost. 

We run our business as a deliberately small concern in order to maintain quality and customer service.  These two attributes are more important to us than outright profit - and hopefully our customers see the real difference this makes.

For business customers, a full and detailed technical CV is available as required along with references.

Appropriate Qualifications

Mel is the qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in our team with the following experience:

Experience

Mel has over 15 years experience working with animals, from originally working in a pet shop through to charity work with the Blue Cross, and then becoming a Veterinary Nurse in 2002 qualifying in 2005.  Mels experience is mainly round small animal practices with a keen interest in small furies having owned a hamster; rats and house rabbits.

During her career she has worked in small to medium sized practices where she has had the responsibility of being both senior and head nurse as well as performing nursing duties.  She has also enjoyed mentoring and helping students over the last few years.

CPDs

Mel attends self-funded regular CPDs to keep herself up to date. These usually take place at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) every few weeks and are hosted by the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA).

CPDs undertaken during 2008-2009 so far include:-

• Veterinary Oncology (Pets with cancer)
• Nursing Models
• Wound Care
• Radiography for VNs
• The Diabetic Patient
• Introduction to the Pet Blood Bank UK
